Social media is a growing problem amongst growing population. Individuals can put anything they want on the Internet and we can’t always monitor what we see.

Spending so much online can effect so many aspect of our lives, from wanting to interact online rather than in person, avoiding developing real social skills, distorting ones self image and struggle with identity issues.

Social media addiction can be easily handled in therapy sessions. Individuals will be encouraged to stay present, get rid of the idea to be presentable on social media and to be functioning in their lives by learning to manage the time and energy they spend on social media.
